Dhanwatay is an idealist. As some one in love with nature and
committed to wildlife conservation, he floated the concept of
wildlife Eco-tourism at Tadoba. The basic principle was that the
lakes, hills and forest were for the wildlife to live and proliferate,
and humans would protect, observe and learn, but not interfere. Hence
TIGERTRAILS was created to enjoy nature in absolute wilderness.
He is a postgraduate in Environmental Engineering. The Govt of
the State of Maharashtra, has recognized his commitment to wildlife
conservation, by appointing him as a Hon. Wildlife Warden. He
is the President of VIDARBHA TIGER RESEARCH FOUNDATION, the leading
NGO conducting wildlife conservation projects in all the Tiger
Reserves of Central India. VTRF has also assisted Melghat Tiger
Reserve, and Pench Tiger Reserve in organizing and establishing
Nature Interpretation Centres. VTRF is participatory research
NGO for U.S. and U.K. based Tiger Conservation Trusts. His articles/Photos
on Tiger conservation have regularly appeared in Magazines and
the press
